Protecting seniors & retirements

Greg believes retirement should come with dignity, security & peace of mind.

Social Security and Medicare are not giveaways. They are earned benefits Arizonans paid into through a lifetime of work, and Washington has no business gambling them away, cutting them behind closed doors or handing seniors’ private information to political operatives.

Greg has fought to protect Social Security and Medicare from Republican attacks, lower prescription drug costs, cap insulin costs for seniors and give Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices. He has stood up against efforts to privatize Social Security, because retirement should not depend on Wall Street having a good year. He pushed back when the Trump administration and DOGE put Social Security service and privacy at risk, including cuts that made it harder for seniors and people with disabilities to get help.

Greg is also fighting for broader retirement security: protecting pensions, strengthening earned benefits and making sure workers who spent their lives on the job can retire without being forced to choose between medicine, groceries and keeping a roof over their head.

Greg’s record

  • Helped pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which lowers drug costs for seniors by letting Medicare negotiate lower prices, capping insulin at $35 a month, and limiting how much seniors pay out of pocket for prescriptions.

  • Helped pass the Social Security Fairness Act, which protects Social Security benefits for teachers, firefighters, police officers, and other public servants who also earned a pension.

  • Pushed the Social Security Administration to undo Trump-era service cuts that closed field offices, cut phone service, and made it harder for seniors and people with disabilities to get help.

  • Voted against Republican legislation that would make Medicare’s finances worse while giving huge tax breaks to the wealthy.

  • Voted against Republican health care cuts that would take coverage away from hundreds of thousands of Arizonans, including seniors, people with disabilities, and working families.

  • Voted against Republican cuts to Medicaid and food assistance, rejecting a bill that would make life harder for seniors and families already stretched thin.
