More Than 9,000 Arizona Law Enforcement Professionals Back Stanton for Re-Election

MESA, AZ — The Arizona Fraternal Order of Police (AZ FOP) has endorsed Greg Stanton for Congress, marking the first major endorsement of the 2026 general election for Arizona’s Fourth Congressional District. The organization, which represents more than 9,000 law enforcement professionals across the state, cited Stanton’s record of working across party lines to give law enforcement officers the resources, training, and support they need to keep Arizona communities safe.

“Greg Stanton doesn’t just talk about supporting law enforcement, he delivers,” said Paul Sheldon, president of the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police. “From Phoenix City Hall to Congress, Greg has always been a bipartisan leader who puts Arizona and public safety first. He listens to officers, fights for the resources we need to keep our communities safe, and stands up for the pay and benefits we have earned. The Arizona Fraternal Order of Police is proud to endorse Greg Stanton for re-election.”

“I’m deeply honored to earn the support of the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police and the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect our communities,” said Stanton. “Public safety is not a partisan issue. Arizona families deserve leaders who will listen to law enforcement, invest in proven strategies to prevent and solve violent crime, and make sure officers have the equipment, training, and mental-health support they need. That is the work I’ve done throughout my career, and it is the work I’ll continue in Congress.”

Stanton has consistently supported federal investments in local law enforcement and community safety. He secured $600,000 for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to purchase Rapid DNA technology that can produce investigative leads in as little as 90 minutes, as well as $680,000 for a Chandler Police Department mobile command center to strengthen emergency response capabilities.

He also helped pass a comprehensive public-safety package through the House that would support the recruitment, training, and retention of officers; provide mental-health resources for police departments; and help law enforcement agencies hire detectives and process evidence needed to solve homicides, sexual assaults, kidnappings, and nonfatal shootings.

“Keeping Arizona safe requires more than slogans and partisan posturing. It requires trust, resources, and a real partnership with the officers serving on the front lines,” said Stanton. “I’m proud to have that partnership, and I’ll never stop fighting for the people who protect our communities.”
